Boxing and Fitness Tasters

Invictus Wellbeing and Halifax Boxing and Fitness Club have partnered to deliver a number of boxing and fitness taster sessions for children and young people across Calderdale.

The sessions will last for an hour in an open public space and all equipment will be provided. The sessions are there for young people to perhaps experience boxing from some of Calderdale's leading boxing instructors.

The workshops will give young people an insight in to what boxing and fitness involves, get them involved in some activities, and show how they can get involved in clubs and groups later down the line.

Boxing is a brilliant way to look after your mental health, increase your concentration, discipline and let off some steam. As Tyson Fury once said 'anything is possible with the right mindset'.

What if I Like it, Can I do it Again?


If you try the taster session and really enjoy it, you will find out about how you can access boxing

What's the price?

Completely Free! If you would like to make a donation to Invictus Wellbeing so that we can continue to offer young people free mental health support, projects and activities, you can donate here.

Do I need to bring anything?

No, we will provide all equipment that you need.

How do I get there?

Halifax Boxing and Sports & Fitness Club, HX3 5QN. If you need some assistance in getting there, please get in touch.

Can I come with a friend?

Yes you can but please make sure they have also booked on using the form above and are in the same age bracket as you. One booking needs to be made for each participant.

What is the age range?

Age ranges are described as above. We have 1 session for each age group: 8-11, 12-15 & 16-25.

Will I be forced to do anything?

No! Is the simple answer to that question. We always want to push you to do your best and get out of your comfort zone but we'll never force you to do something you can't. We do, however, expect you to challenge yourself and get involved to the best of your abilities.
